Hello, StandOut friends! Welcome to the first StandOut release of the year, with a refreshed release experience coming your way! We’re making a shift to deliver releases now organized by theme. All updates, enhancements, and newly released content will align to a work-related topic, making it easier to understand and apply our updates in a cohesive and impactful way. Our goal is to help you drive positive change and empower your organizations with stronger, more intentional updates. Career Growth Study Career growth is a highly individualized concept that can look like different things to different people, depending on your career path, goals, interests, and opportunities that are available to you, among other factors. In support of this career-themed release, we thought it would be helpful to first dig into what the term “career” really means and how leaders and HR practitioners can facilitate career development with their teams. To achieve this, the StandOut Research Team recently launched a data collection effort to learn what career growth means to workers, what people are looking for to grow in their careers, what motivates them, and the roles that strengths, team leader attention, and career advocacy play in the broader career landscape. With data analyzed from the perspectives of both the employees and an organization hoping to take action on the study’s results, the findings of this research serve as a call to action for leaders to recognize and appreciate the personal and individualized nature of each person’s career journey, while also highlighting the importance of examining personal needs and aspirations related to career development. StandOut Position Paper: Careers We’re releasing a new Position Paper that captures StandOut’s research on career growth and all the ways that StandOut solutions and strengths coaching approach can help both organizations and individuals explore the topic of careers. Touching on the multiple ways people define career growth for themselves, this Position Paper will describe how StandOut’s strengths-based approach can serve as a powerful tool to help people clarify what matters most to them and how their strengths can help them succeed. Equipped Animated Series This all-new series of short, animated videos is a great asset for organizations looking to tackle the common challenges that arise in career development. Presenting a series of situations to prompt discussion, Equipped will get people thinking about careers through the lens of their strengths. Access to the series is available through the StandOut Content Subscription (see above), and the first 3 episodes will be available to stream on February 15th, with more to come. Don’t miss the teaser video below! 📺✂☕ ConversationsEnhancement: Career Discovery Interactive Conversation To further support StandOut users in having strengths-based, meaningful conversations with their trusted leaders and coworkers, we’re pleased to introduce another new Interactive Conversation. This one is focused on Career Discovery, and it takes users through a series of prompts to explore what matters most in their career growth. Career Discovery ConversationThe Career Discovery Conversation may be launched by anyone in the organization to reflect on their career growth with their team leader, colleague, or career advocate. Once the Conversation is launched with your intended recipient, you’ll both be invited to reflect on a series of questions. You’ll see an option to mark your responses as private if you’d like, otherwise both parties will be able to see each other’s entries. Once each party responds, you’ll be prompted to review the responses together during a live discussion, supported with a StandOut conversation guide. Whether you’re seeking personal career growth or looking to support others, we encourage you to give this a try to strengthen your future interactions. 💪 Career Discovery Conversation prompts CoachingEnhancement: Career-Themed Coaching The Career Coaching engagement (which includes three 60-minute sessions over six weeks) supports individuals who want to take a strengths-based approach to developing their careers. With this release, we’re making Career Coaching even more powerful with the addition of new career coaching tools to help people explore the strengths and values they want to focus on as they grow. Coachees will receive guidance and develop career strategies in a 1:1 partnership with a certified StandOut coach, using impactful new career coaching tools — Wheel of Work, Strengths Grid, & Values at Work — to explore the strengths and values they want to focus on as they grow. StandOut AssessmentEnhancement: Assessment Updates We’ve made some changes to the StandOut Assessment experience based on input we’ve received directly from clients. These changes are intended to improve the overall Assessment accessibility and user experience, and include increasing the question timer from 30 to 45 seconds, options to take the Assessment without the timer feature, and removed voice-over options. 🔕 Check-InsEnhancement: Open Text We’ve enhanced the open text fields within Check-Ins to allow for a better user experience. These fields, found within Loves, Loathes, Needs, and Priorities, will now auto expand for longer text entries, eliminating the need for users to scroll within their entry. 💬 StandOut PlatformEnhancement: Font Update In an effort to maintain a consistent user experience across ADP products, we’ve recently updated the font used throughout the platform. It’s nothing major, but you may notice this subtle change.💐 StandOut PlatformEnhancement: Privacy Policy Update We've updated StandOut’s Privacy Statement to satisfy new requirements to updated privacy laws. We continue to strive to make our information practices easy for you to understand and to clearly communicate the choices you have. We encourage you to review the updated Privacy Statement. By continuing to use our products and services, you acknowledge receipt and agree to the updated Privacy Statement effective January 31, 2025.
